About

My name is Kristina Delgado and I am a writer based in Royal Oak, Michigan.

For my day job I currently work as a medical courier. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Michigan-Flint. In the past I have worked in customer service, technical support, and software quality assurance. I grew up in Flint, Michigan and have lived my adult life as a bit of a nomad.

My current project is under the working title “Poetry of the Constitution” and will be a series of poems based on lines from the United States Constitution.

I started this website in response to the abhorrent attack on free speech and free press propagated by Donald Trump and his administration. I thought of a few ideas for a catchy website URL and happened upon this one which was, surprisingly, still available.

I am a Muslim convert of Mexican descent. We are rare but we do exist. While I have chosen Islam as my religion, I also consider myself a Humanist and abide by those principles.

Am I “Antifa”? Well, not violently so, but I stand against fascism, so yes, I guess I would be in that category.

I enjoy traveling the world and learning different cultures and languages. I have been to Canada, Mexico, Tanzania, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman. I plan to travel more as time and money allow. I speak a little bit of several languages (French, Spanish, Turkish and Swahili) and someday will become proficient in one of them 🙂

I look forward to doing my small part to help bring down fascism and restore democracy in America.
